Our Guarantee

Subject to the conditions listed below, for a period of 10 years from the date of order, the company undertakes to replace or repair, at its sole discretion but free of all charges, any fault which develops due to construction or workmanship.

Any sealed glass unit is guaranteed for a period no longer than five years from the date of commencement. This guarantee does not cover for breakage of glass after collection or safe delivery.

The window and door furniture which forms part of a PVCu window or door supplied by the company has a one year manufacturer’s guarantee, subject to regular maintenance by the customer. Cosmetic deterioration to handles, letterplates and door handles due to wear and tear are not covered by this guarantee.

Miscellaneous items which have been supplied as part of the contract, but not manufactured by Windseal Double Glazing carry the supplier’s standard guarantee.

Conditions                                                          

The company shall only be bound by the terms of the above 10 year guarantee providing that;

a)   The customer gives the Company full details of any alleged defect in writing and within a period of one month from the defect first becoming apparent to the customer. This must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice as proof of purchase.

b)   The customer gives the Company a reasonable opportunity of inspecting, testing or otherwise ascertaining the nature and extent of the alleged defect should it wish to do so.

c)   The customer allows the Company to rectify any defect and to use its discretion in the choice of materials, the time and method of rectification. Any replacement parts will be supplied only. Fitting of such parts is not covered under this warranty.

d)   The installation has not been adapted, altered or in any way tampered with by persons not authorised by the Company, whether qualified or not.

e)   This warranty excludes damage or faults due to accident, misuse or neglect, fair wear and tear, and acceptable phenomena.

All guarantees are given in good faith. However if it is deemed after a visit from a company representative that our product has been misused, tampered with or damaged in any way, we will render the guarantee null and void.

If it is deemed after a visit from a company representative that the reported problem is in fact directly due to external factors such as any part of the building being in a poor state of repair, misuse, or lack of regular maintenance, the company reserves the right to charge the customer a call out fee for time wasted. We will render the guarantee null and void, until the external fault has remedied by the customer, at the expense of the customer, and to the satisfaction of the company.

This guarantee and undertaking is given conditional upon the account for the goods having been paid in full under the terms of the contract or otherwise secured to the satisfaction of the company as acknowledged in writing. This does not affect your statutory rights.
